Q: What is happening on September 2, 2026?
A: This is the second and final phase of a two-phase maintenance project on the Boomi Cloud API Management platform needing brief downtime. Phase 1 was completed successfully on August 12th, 2026. This update is designed to improve the long-term reliability and scalability of our services.
Q: How long will the maintenance last?
A: The maintenance window runs for 2 hours starting at Tuesday, September 1st at 9:00 PM PDT | Wednesday, September 2nd at 12:00 AM EDT | Wednesday, September 2nd at 4:00 AM UTC. Note that actual service downtime will occur for a short period within this 2-hour window — not necessarily for the full duration. The traffic switch itself is expected to complete in under 15 minutes. We will post a notification on status.boomi.com as soon as all services are confirmed fully restored.
Q: Will my live API traffic be disrupted?
A: if you have existing, valid tokens in place, calls to protected resources will continue to function normally throughout the window on the cloud. Live traffic is not expected to be impacted. Local edition API traffic will not see any impact.
Q: Can I create new API tokens during the maintenance window?
A: No. New token creation will be unavailable during the downtime part of the maintenance window.
Q: Can I log into the Cloud API Management Control Center during the maintenance?
A: You may be able to login through the Boomi Platform. However navigating to Cloud API management and direct logins might result in errors. If you are already logged in when maintenance begins, your session will persist and basic navigation will work — but you won't be able to make any changes.
Q: Can I make changes to my APIs, packages, or plans during the window?
A: No. All management operations will be unavailable for a brief period during the maintenance window, including creating or updating services, endpoints, packages, plans, and package keys. Please complete any configuration changes before the maintenance window begins on September 2nd.
Q: How will I know when it's over?
A: We will send a notification once all services are verified as fully restored through the status page — including token creation, portal login, and all management functions.
Q: What should I check after maintenance completes?
A: If you attempted any changes during the window, verify they completed successfully and resubmit if needed. All operations should return to normal once the window closes.
Q: Who do I contact with questions?
A: Please reach out to the Cloud API Management support team ahead of September 2nd if you have any concerns or need help preparing.
