Troubleshooting login issues |
When logging into Boomi Training (train.boomi.com), you are asked for an Okta verification code. With our new Boomi Training experience, the Boomi username and password you use to log into the Boomi Enterprise Platform (platform.boomi.com) are the same credentials you use to access Boomi Training (train.boomi.com). You are being asked for a verification passcode because your Platform user has the option for "2FA authentication" turned on. This requires an authentication app (i.e., Okta, Google, Microsoft, etc.) to generate a 6-digit verification passcode. Even though the page refers to Okta, you can use the 6-digit code from whichever authentication app you use to access the Boomi Platform.

Home Page |
For most learners, the Home page displays three sections of tiles. Course offerings are continually evolving, so your Home page may vary.
If you prefer to see all courses, certifications, and learning paths on the same page, select All Courses in the upper right. It provides excellent filtering to make the page easy to use.
How does filtering work on the |
You can make multiple selections within each filter type. For instance, you can select Integration and APIM courses for less than 3 hours. If you are looking for Certifications only, select that filter type. These filters and others may exist on other pages but are responsive to a page’s content. You may not see all the same filters on every page. New filters are added as needed.

Course Navigation |
When you launch a course, you may see two menus as illustrated in the image. The left menu is the Course Outline, which lists two course assets: the learning module AS2 for EDI and Explore More. You can collapse this menu by selecting the X. To navigate these assets, use this menu or the blue Next button at the bottom right of the course player. There is also a full-screen button next to it. To navigate inside AS2 for EDI (the second menu with multiple lessons), use its menu, or there is a black bar with a down arrow (not shown) to move through each lesson. In this case, AS2 in the Boomi Enterprise Platform. Important: If you select the blue Next button, you will leave the learning lesson and navigate to the next item in the Course Outline, which is Explore More in this illustration. After navigating to Explore More, you will see a button(s) to find more content related to the course you just completed. If you have completed a course and a lesson is updated afterwards, your course completion will remain the same. However, when you revisit the lesson, its status in the learning menu will reset to 0%.

Certification completions and expirations |
When you successfully complete a certification, you will receive an email with relevant certification information, including a button to easily claim your verified Credly badge.
Can I get feedback on which questions I got wrong on a certification? |
Yes. After you submit an exam, for a window of time, you will be able to see which questions you got wrong on the exam.
Do I need to answer every question on a certification exam? |
Yes. If you do not provide an answer to a question, you will receive a notification that you must answer the question before continuing.
Do I need to take a Course, Certification, or Learning Path in order? |
Certifications and Assessments are the only activities with mandatory requirements. You must complete the course before earning a certification. However, courses, certifications, activities, and learning paths are listed in logical learning order. The first time you take a course, activity, or learning path, we suggest you follow the recommended order. This is especially true when activities are involved because they can build on each other’s activities. Once you complete a course, you can return anytime to refresh your knowledge without following a prescribed order.
If a prerequisite is required for multiple courses, do I have to complete it again? |
No. Once you register to take a course, learning path, or certification, if it contains assets you’ve already completed, your progress automatically updates once you register.
What is an open badge? |
Open badges are web-enabled versions of a credential, certification or learning outcome which can be verified in real-time, online. Badges contain metadata that allows anyone to understand the skills, knowledge and actions taken to earn the badge. Information includes the following items: who the badge was issued by, who the badge was issued to, the date of issue, the expiration date of the badge if any, the skills verified by the badge, evidence of skills or knowledge earned, and recommendations for additional badges that can be earned. |
How does my certification get displayed as a badge? |
We have partnered with Credly to translate the learning outcomes you’ve demonstrated into a badge, issued and managed through the company digital badging platform. The technology Credly uses is based on the Open Badge Standards maintained by 1EdTech (formerly IMS Global). This enables you to manage, share and verify your competencies digitally.

Who is Credly? |
Credly is the end-to-end solution for issuing and managing digital credentials. Credly works with credible organizations to provide digital credentials to individuals, worldwide. |
What are the benefits of a badge? |
Representing your skills as a badge gives you a way to share your abilities online in a way that is simple, trusted and can be easily verified in real time. Badges provide employers and peers concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn your credential and what you’re now capable of. |
What are the steps to earn and use a badge? |
There are four major steps: Step 1 EARN: Complete your participating training course. Step 2 CLAIM: Once you’ve earned your badge, you will receive an email notification from Credly (admin@credly.com) with instructions for claiming your badge and setting up your account. At this point, you can also create your own profile page on the Credly website which provides numerous additional benefits. Step 3 SHARE: If you choose, you can “share” your badge on social media sites or place your badge directly on your digital resume or e-portfolio. Step 4 ADVANCE: Whether it’s a new promotion, new job or graduate school, as a badge holder, you now have a variety of tools available to help you make that transition. You’ll be able to access data about the labor market demand for the skills validated by your badge. |
Where and how can I share my badge through Credly? |
You can share your badge directly from Credly to LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook; over email; embedded in a website or in your email signature. |
What if I don’t want my badge to be public? |
You can easily configure your privacy settings in Credly. You’re in complete control of the information about yourself that is made public. |
Can I export badges issued through Credly to other badge-storing platforms? |
Yes, you can download your badge from the Share Badge page. Your downloaded badge contains Open Badge Infrastructure (OBI) compliant metadata embedded into the image. This allows you to store your badge on other OBI-compliant badge sites, such as the Badgr Backpack. |
Can I import badges issued from other platforms into Credly? |
Yes. If you have earned a badge on another platform, such as Accredible, you can add it to your Credly profile (as long as it meets the necessary criteria). Please review this article for detailed requirements and instructions on adding an outside badge. |
What types of badges does Boomi offer? Is there an order that I should earn Boomi’s badges? Are there any higher level badges with pre-requisite badges? |
Boomi offers badges for passing our Associate level and Professional level exams. The Associate and Professional exams are designed for specific areas and roles in the Boomi platform. We recommend you earn an Associate level certification badge before pursuing a Professional level badge. We also offer badges for completing our Instructor-Led Trainings (ILTs) and for exceptional contributions to our online Boomi Community. These badges can be earned in any order. Please check each ILT’s pre-requisites to ensure you are prepared for it. |
I received a Credly badge email for a certification I earned before Boomi offered Credly. Do I lose my original Boomi certification if I accept the Credly badge? |
No. We recommend adopting the Credly badge as the latest way to show what you know about Boomi. Credly badges provide verified metadata, are easily shareable, and are recognized in industry as an established signal of skills and knowledge.
See below for the email you will receive when you earn or update a Boomi digital badge.

Do I need to set up an account to use my badges? What if I already have an account?
Yes. Setting up a Credly account gives you continuous access to and control over how you share your badges.
Email addresses serve as the unique identifier for Credly badge earners. We recommend using a personal email address for your account so you can always access it.
We also recommend adding any email addresses to which you might be issued a badge. If you delete the email address connected to a badge from your account, the badge will also be deleted.
If you already have badges under a different account, you can merge your accounts to simplify managing your badges.

What are labor market insights and how can I access them through the Credly Platform? |
Labor market insights are pulled from live job requisitions. Based on your skills you can learn which employers are hiring, what job titles you might be qualified for, salary ranges and more. Search active job listings and even apply for them with just a few clicks through the Credly Platform. Access the labor market insights from your digital credential details page by clicking on Related Jobs, or by clicking on the skill tags assigned to your credential. |
Is there a fee to use Credly? |
No. This is a service we provide to you, at no cost. |
What’s to keep someone else from copying my badge and using it? |
While badges are simply digital image files, they are uniquely linked to data hosted on Credly. This link to verified data makes them more reliable and secure than a paper-based certificate. It also eliminates the possibility of anyone claiming your credential and your associated identity. |
