SFTP V2 (Deprecated) Connector Retirement Notice
Issue:
Customers using the SFTP V2 (Deprecated) connector see a warning that it has moved to Deprecated status and will be retired after January 2026, and assume it will stop working immediately.
Environment:
- Boomi Enterprise Platform integrations that use the SFTP V2 (Deprecated) connector to download/upload files to an SFTP-enabled server
- Runtime environments can include Basic/Cluster (local) and Cloud (note: proxy limitations apply in Cloud)
Cause:
The connector is in the Deprecated lifecycle stage. In Boomi terms, Deprecated means the feature/connector is still functional and is intended to be retired on a future date.
- The SFTP V2 (Deprecated) connector:
- Remains accessible after January 2026 for accounts that have previously used it
- Is not available to new Boomi accounts
- Will move to Retired status after January 2026, but it is no longer actively maintained and should be avoided for production use going forward
Resolution:
When the connector moves to Retired status, existing deployed integrations may continue to run, but there is no guarantee the connector will remain compatible with future platform/runtime changes or releases. Because the connector is retired and no longer maintained, Boomi Support and the platform SLA do not cover it—meaning that a support ticket may not result in a fix or resolution for issues specific to the retired connector.
- If your account has already used SFTP V2 (Deprecated), you can continue running existing integrations through January 2026.
- Deprecated does not mean the connector immediately stops working; it means it is slated for retirement and you should plan to adopt the replacement connector.
- After January 2026, this connector will be retired and we recommend using the latest SFTP connector.

- Be aware of these common constraints noted for SFTP connectors:
- Proxy is not supported in the Cloud environment
- Proxy settings with basic runtime protocol have not been tested
