Overview
There are four parts to the setup of SAP SNC between Boomi and SAP. The steps are:
- SAP SNC software download/SAP prerequisites including setting up a Distinguished Name and SAP User (shown here)
- Creation the SAP PSE (Personal Security Environment) file for you Boomi Runtime (shown here)
- Setup of your SAP JCo V2 Connector properties file in Boomi (shown here)
- Setup in your SAP system to allow your Boomi Runtime to communicate via SAP SNC (shown here)
- (Optional) Validating your Connectivity between SAP and the Boomi runtime via SAP SNC as a Server ie: LISTEN (this article)
Part 5: Validate connectivity between SAP system and Boomi runtime via SAP SNC as a Server (LISTEN Operation)
At the completion of this section, you will have successfully validated your SAP SNC setup between your Boomi runtime and SAP JCo V2 connection for the LISTEN operation (Boomi receiving IDocs from SAP)
Prerequisites
- Your SAP Administrator with authorization to SAP Transaction SM59 and SMGW
- You have already successfully addressed the prerequisites for SAP JCo V2 Listen operation without SAP SNC documented, namely installing the SAP Java Libraries
- The SAP Program ID information from the SAP JCo V2 Listen Operation (e.g., boomisolsnc1)
Steps
1. Deploy your Boomi Listener process
2. Confirm that Boomi is connected to the correct SAP SNC port (48xx)
- Go to "Logged On Clients" (shown below):
- Under column "TP Name", click on the row that matches your SAP Program ID (ex: boomisolsnc1). This is shown below:
- Once selected, validate the following (shown below):
- Value for "snc forced" is 1
- Value for "per port" starts with 48xx
- If the "snc forced" value is 0 or the value for "peer port" starts with 33xx, then SNC is not configured correctly

3. Test your RFC Connection with SAP SNC setup
- Go to transaction SM59 and select the existing RFC connection which is used to connect to the Boomi Runtime under TCP/IP Connections (ex: BOOMISOLSNC)
- Click on "Connection Test", which is shown below:
- If the Connection is successful, the following output will be seen:
