Overview

There are four parts to the setup of SAP SNC between Boomi and SAP. The steps are:

SAP SNC software download/SAP prerequisites including setting up a Distinguished Name and SAP User (shown here)
Creation the SAP PSE (Personal Security Environment) file for you Boomi Runtime (shown here)
Setup of your SAP JCo V2 Connector properties file in Boomi (shown here)
Setup in your SAP system to allow your Boomi Runtime to communicate via SAP SNC (this article)
(Optional) Validating your Connectivity between SAP and the Boomi runtime via SAP SNC as a Server ie: LISTEN (shown here)

Part 4: Configure your SAP System to support SAP SNC for Boomi runtime as a server

At the completion of these steps, your SAP administrator will have configured the SAP RFC connection and the SAP User with SAP SNC configuration

1. Configure your SAP RFC Connection to support SAP SNC via SAP Transaction SM59 (Required for LISTEN only)

Select the existing RFC connection which is used to connect to the Boomi Runtime under TCP/IP Connections
Under the “Login & Security” tab, click on the SNC button. This is shown below:

Click on SNC Active and select the appropriate QoP. The QoP should be the same value as the value in the SAP JCo properties file
Populate the Boomi Distinguished Name in the Partners field. Note: Make sure to prepend the Boomi Distinguished Name with "p:". Example shown below:

2. Update your SAP user information to support SAP SNC via SAP Transaction SU01 (Required for all Operations - SEND, EXECUTE, LISTEN)

Go to the SNC tab and update the SNC name field with the Boomi Distinguished Name under SNC Data. Note: Make sure to prepend the Boomi Distinguished Name with "p:", which is shown below:
