301 Moved Permanently Error Connecting to JIRA with the JIRA Rest Connector

When trying to connect to JIRA using the JIRA Rest connector, the following error message is received:

Embedded message: Input BD:2015.12.17_848606183:0 was not outstanding (already marked as finished); Caused by: Failed while storing output; Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException

In the container logs, you see the following logged.

This error message is caused by attempting to connect to an HTTP URL for the Jira instance. The Jira URL should use HTTPS. Modify the URL in the connection component to use HTTPS and try again.

Example:

Incorrect:
http://test.atlassian.net

Correct: https://test.atlassian.net
