This error may occur when the cert import is not performed properly within the HTTP client connection.
i) The first thing to check would be if the security policy file has been installed on the atom. The link below provides instructions on how to perform the installation :

          http://help.boomi.com/atomsphere/GUID-D7FA3445-6483-45C5-85AD-60CA5BB15719.html

From the Atom Management>Atom Startup properties>,We will be able to view the 'Unlimited Strength Cryptography' set to True  if already installed.

ii)If you are connecting to a secure site (i.e., the URL begins with https) that does not use a certificate signed by a trusted root authority such as Verisign or Thawte, you will need to obtain a copy of the site's public certificate and import it into an X.509 certificate in your Dell Boomi AtomSphere account. Once imported and added to the HTTP Client connection, it will be applied implicitly whenever the connector connects to that site. However, if the site does use a certificate from a trusted root authority, you do not need to import the certificate; it will be applied automatically by Dell Boomi AtomSphere.
