Email Left on POP Server Cannot Be Re-retrieved

     POP Mail Connector in Boomi works with Gmail account to retrieve attachments for processing, but when mail is left on the server (not deleted), the mail can not be re-retrieved.

      

     Within the Gmail account settings, emails are to keep as unread after accessed with POP:

  •           Within Gmail, click on the gear icon in the upper-right and select Settings

  •           Click on the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab:

  •           Under POP Download, Enable POP for All Mail and select 'keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox':

  •           At the bottom, click on Save:

NOTE:

     Gmail POP will only download once, but you can used this method to get the last 30 days emails:

     For Gmail and all other POP clients, replace 'username@gmail.com' in your POP client settings with 'recent:username@gmail.com'. It will then re-retrieve older messages on subsequent process runs.
