Error

Unable to store data, error copying stream. Caused by: Failed generating xml document Caused by: Invalid white space character (0x1b) in text to output

Cause

This error typically indicates a data error or formatting issue in the data.  Sometimes it can be difficult to diagnose if you have a very large file with many records.

Solution

Check to see if past executions have succeeded with data in the same size/range.

There may be one or more records with a data issue.  If possible, try breaking the data in half to create two data sets.  See if both data  sets fail to process or if one data set fails to process. This could then help determine if there is an issue with one or more records in the data. You may want to break up the data further if needed, for example, create multiple data sets with smaller sets of records to see if some pass and others fail.  If possible, disconnect targets while you test.   You can then analyze the data records that fail to look for differences in the data compared to the ones that succeed.

In one case, a user imported the data to a spreadsheet, then exported the data, and it corrected the data related issue that the integration process was experiencing.  Not sure if this will apply to all scenarios, but something to consider and test.
