The Local Work directory can be set through the Working Data Local Storage Directory property (com.boomi.container.localDir)
  • On a cloud or molecule, this should be set to a local directory, as to reduce network and file share traffic
The Java Temp directory can be set by modifying the java.io.tmpdir in your atom.vmoptions file.
  • You should not set the tmpdir when installing a java 6 or 7 cloud on Linux
  • If left unset, this will default to the java default
    • /tmp on Linux, and a local directory on Windows
  • It is not usually necessary, but you can change this value to a directory that has enough space, and that the atom service user has permission to write to
