Question: How to test the Taleo api calls when there is an issue with the Taleo connector ?
Use cases: You might get a HTTP 500 error or server not available error message. In this case, you can test the api calls and see if its working outside boomi process. If you get the same error message then please open a support ticket with Taleo Support.
Here are quick api calls that you can use to verify if its accessible:
Here is the Taleo Api Reference Guide: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/documentation/tberestapiguide-v15b1-2665296.pdf
1. Go to your Boomi process which is failing and copy the organization code from the Taleo connector connection url.
You can either use postman or advance rest client or any other tool to make an api call. This is the url to make a call :
The response should look like this:
The response will have the Taleo server name in the url : https://chm.tbe.taleo.net/<taleoservername>/ats/api/v1/
So once you know the servername , all the api calls will use this servername in the url .
2. All the calls to the api fails for the <taleoservername>: Replace the <taleoservername> with your organization's server here.
The response of this call should be successful( not http 404 or 500 errors ) .
3. This is the last step to access the taleo system using your org code, username and password
The response of this call should be a successful http 200 OK. If this call fails please open a support ticket with the Taleo support . If this call is successful , please continue to step4.
4. You can try accessing the specific object for eg candidate like this :
If any of the call fails then you should check with the Taleo support to find the root cause. If this test works ,please reach out to Boomi support for further help.
