This article will describe how to download a WSDL from your Cloud, Molecule or Atom when the API Type is set to Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.

General Technique for downloading the WSDL

In order to retrieve your WSDL you simply point your Web Browser to the correct URL as described by the template below:

<Base URL for API Requests>/ws/soap/<Base API Path>?wsdl=single

The value for the <Base URL for API Requests> can be found on your Shared Web Server Configuration

So in this example the value for <Base URL for API Request> is http://w107ht3f12.aus.amer.dell.com:9090

Configuring the path to the WSDL for API Type Basic or Intermediate

When the API Type is set to Basic or Intermediate the <Base API Path> does not need to be set.

So in this example the URL to the WSDL would be set to:

http://w107ht3f12.aus.amer.dell.com:9090/ws/soap?wsdl=single

Configuring the path to the WSDL for API Type Advanced

When the API Type is set to Advanced the <Base API Path> is set to the Base API Path in the API component that defines the desired WSDL

So in this example the URL to the WSDL would be set to:

http://w107ht3f12.aus.amer.dell.com:9090/ws/soap/calc/v1?wsdl=single

Common Questions/Errors

How does Authentication Type of the Shared Web Server impact the retrieval

When hitting the Shared Web Server to retrieve the WSDL you will have to comply with the configured authentication required by the Shared Web Server in order to get the WSDL

So in this example you have to provide the username/token associated with a authorized user as defined in the 'User Management' Tab for the Shared Web Server
