I have a new client prospect and I would like to know if Boomi can handle the HTTP POST protocol and if Web Services is also available.

Yes, AtomSphere has several Connectors that can be used to handle communicating via HTTP and Web Services. We have generic HTTP Client and Web Services SOAP Client Connectors that allow you to RETRIEVE data from an application or other data source via XML over HTTP (GET or POST), REST, or SOAP. We also have a number of "branded" application-specific Connectors for popular web applications such as Salesforce and NetSuite that abstract many of the communication-protocol details.
Lastly, if you need to RECEIVE incoming data from some application, AtomSphere has a Web Services Publishing capability whereby you can easily configure a Web Services Server Connector to listen for incoming data via HTTP/REST or SOAP.
Hope this helps!
