How can I check if an X12 transaction set = 940 without creating a map to move to another directory?

You can leverage the route step to check the transaction set type within process and route down separate paths as necessary:
Route Type=Document Property
Document Property=X12, Transaction Set, Transaction Set
Route Value(s)=Static, 940
Let me know if this helps. Otherwise, would you be able to provide some more context around your use case?

Thanks for the fast reply. I will give that a try. The main reason I require this to to perform 2 tasks.
1. check if equals to a 940 and Move the file (s) to a specific directory where it can be FTP's to a ERP server for processing
2. Then check again if the file is equals to a 940 and will create a map to convert from X12 to CSV and store the result in a disk file location for processing which upon completion will delete from the source ftp site.
Also you mentioned the below
Document Property=X12, Transaction Set, Transaction Set (Does this mean I include the transaction set twice?)
Hope this makes sense

When you select the Document Property as the Type in the Route shape, it will bring up a menu of headings with listed items from which to select. The Transaction Set value is listed below the X12 and Transaction Set menu headings. So you should be able to select the Transaction Set item that is the lowest possible leaf under those menu headings.
If you still have questions about that, please let us know.
