When mapping EDI 832 to EDIFACT PRICAT why doesn't it correctly escape the colon and single quote delimeters. From : to ?:. It does this correctly for the ? and + symbols.
I noticed no one responded to you...I wanted to check to see if you were able to correct your issue and if so, if you could share with the group how you did it.
It's been 8 months now and I haven't revisited the process to check if the behavior is any different. What I did back then is create a mapping function to replace the ' and : with a space and - before they are assigned to the EDIFACT element. This more of a workaround than a solution. You can't escape ' and : with ?' and ?:, because AtomSphere will then escape the ? and you will end up with ??' and ??:. As I mention above it's been a while and I don't know if AtomSphere handles they characters any different for EDIFACT documents.
I'm still not clear if it is a problem in the way AtomSphere handles EDIFACT special characters or if I'm doing something wrong. Considering that this might be a bug in AtomSphere, I would have thought BOOMI support person would have seen this post a lot sooner.
This is still a BUG
