I am trying to pull certain records with start with aE7 and was trying to use Like operator on a Salesforce operation and getting error.
Has anyone tried it?
Since you say that you are receiving an error you need to post that like John says. I have not run into any errors while using the LIKE operation for Salesforce. But remember that you need to specify "%" in the parameter, just as you do in Salesforce. For example the following is working fine for me:
With the following parameter specification:
I assume(?) that the difference between "%searchTerm" and "%searchTerm%" is the same in Boomi as in Salesforce...
What exactly was the error? Let's start there.
Thanks for the screenshot, Erik Ivarsson.
priyanka s notice that Erik did not wrap his wildcard pattern in quotes; this will be handled for you. Off the top of my head, that might be what you were doing without knowing the actual error.
John, nice catch, I di not even think about that. I did however make a test right now with quotes, both " and ', and I did still not receive any error message but it did not return any documents in the result set using the quotes...
Yes the % wildcard should be used in the SFDC connector just like in the native API. No, you should not wrap with single or double quotes. The connector will add those automatically as it formats the SOQL.
Thanks Adam and Erik. It is working now, not sure why i was getting error earlier.
