Using standard Salesforce Connector in Boomi, can we run the Report and get summary data?
Hi Srinivas Chandrakanth Vangari
Thanks for your response.
I am looking for a different scenario. Sorry, I could not convey it properly.
In Salesforce, we can build Reports to access your data quickly. Build a New Report
We can run the reports using standard Salesforce interface Run a Report
Along with that, Salesforce gave us programatic access to run the reports using REST API. Salesforce Developers
So, I just wanted to check whether we can do this using standard Salesforce connector in Boomi. But as per my analysis, this is not possible.
I tried accessing REST API directory using OAuth 2.0 Username-Password Flow OAuth 2.0 Username-Password Flow
It is working fine and i can run and extract Reports.

Here are possible scenarios/usecases for integration Boomi for salesforce.com® Integration | Boomi
This is SF Connector guide Salesforce connector
If you are intending to generate a summary report of number of records processed or failed or success here is a workaround on brief, Count incoming number of documents after sending it for processing count success documents and failed documents finally collate them in a message shape and try to send them through an SMTP Connector.
To get you started with how to count? go through this Running an operation multiple times using a counter
But still we need complete information rather than providing one sentence query.
Most appropriate answer you can expect when info provided is clear.
I'm sure from my past experience you can retrieve data from a manually created report.
But for your query to create a new record from boomi I say no we can't achieve that.
SFDC has a drag and drop feature to create a report and data in that can be accessible from BOOMI when you specify specific timestamps of records.
Run a record here can be querying data out of reports object which can be implemented in SF standard connector itself.
Hope my inputs helps you.
