We are upgrading our NetSuite instance in a few weeks to 2016.2. When will Boomi be supporting this version?
Even though your Netsuite instance is upgraded to 2016.2, your current integration processes that configured with the 2015.2 API will continue to work. You will only need to use the 2016.2 API if there are specific features that are not available in 2015.2 but are only available in 2016.2. Are there any 2016.2 specific features that you need to use in a Boomi process?
There are none as of now. I'm just trying to determine the best way to test our integration with our NetSuite upgrade. Thank you for the response and clarification.
I have 2016.2-specific features that I need. Do you have an estimate of when 2016.2 will be supported?
Out of curiosity: which 2016.2 features are not supported with connector version 2016.1?
Fields and objects related to Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) are not supported by earlier version.
Can you let us know specifically which ARM Objects you are referring to in the 2016.1 Schema Browser? SuiteTalk Documentation
I only see RevRecTemplate and RevRecSchedule but believe those are currently supported and part of the older NetSuite Revenue Recognition functionality.
I also checked the 2016.2 release notes (per Varun's post below) and don't see any new SuiteTalk records related to ARM. Please advise so we can research. Thanks!
We are specifically looking for the Revenue Arrangement object, and the following fields on the Item object: Rev Rec Forecast Rule, Revenue Recognition Rule, Item Revenue Category, Create Revenue Plans On. I've been operating under the assumption that those would be included in the 2016.2 release but that might not be the case. I can't find the the 2016.2 release notes, does anyone have a link?
You have to be logged into NetSuite. Click on "help" in the top right corner then follow Varun's bread crumbs from the table of contents -> "New Release -> Release Notes -> Netsuite 2016.2 Release Notes -> SuiteTalk (Web Services) Integration)"
Version 2016.2 is currently in a release preview/beta state. We aim to provide support for it within 90 days after it becomes generally available.
You can follow the status of the 2016.2 release in the Netsuite help guide by navigating to New Release -> Release Notes -> Netsuite 2016.2 Release Notes -> SuiteTalk (Web Services) Integration):
NetSuite already released the 2016.2 Schema Browser and WSDL.
Do you know when the new 2016.2 connection will be available in Boomi?
The WSDL and Schema Browser must have been just released as there were only place holder links when I posted above on Nov 17th. So, as Varun says above, we will most likely release an updated NetSuite Brander Connector sometime in the next 90 days. We typically release once a month - except for December.
Can you tell us which features in the 2016.2 SuiteTalk API you were looking to leverage?
A new feature was released in 2016.2, it is called billing rate cards.
This are records that are related to client and project records.
I see in NetSuite's online Help under Release Notes (New Release -> Release Notes -> Netsuite 2016.2 Release Notes -> SuiteTalk (Web Services) Integration->Newly Supported Record Types for SuiteTalk) a new record type called "Billing Account". Is this what you are referring to?
"Billing Account" is supported in the 2016.1 and 2015.2 wsdls as well.
Hi Varun, could you tell us when the 2017_2 version will be released?
I guess everyone using NetSuite is waiting for it to have access to the new Avdvanced IntercompanyJournal feature.
We plan to support NetSuite's SuiteTalk version 2016.2 in the April 5th release.
We believe that 2016.2 Web Services/Suite Talk will allow us the ability to do receiving by Item Fulfillment, as opposed to from TO/PO. Can anyone confirm that functionality is part of 2016.2?
Do you know the object and the operation you are looking for in 2016.2 version which is currently now available in previous version?

Below snippet from link above is all I found wrt Item Fulfillment in the 2016.2 release.
In NetSuite 2016.2, a change has been made to the Use Item Cost as Transfer Cost preference for the Multi-Location Inventory feature. This change lets you enter partial fulfillments and receipts for transfer orders and track item costs throughout the transfer process, as described in Transfer Order Enhancements.
To accommodate this change, InitializeAuxRefType has been extended to include the itemFulfillment parameter in the 2016.2 endpoint. This RecordRef field is returned in responses with the item fulfillment record associated with the transfer order.
The item receipt record is in the tranPurch (purchases) XSD.
For details, see initialize / initializeList and Item Receipt.
