I would like to rename a MDM repository but can't find it. What about delete?
Great question. It is possible to rename the repositories. Allow me to respond in the form of a brand new KB article :
How can I rename or delete an MDM repository?
Can you provide some info on your use case. This is not available via the UI or API. I can talk to product managment, if you provide more information.
We originally started with 2 MDM environments in our development street, UAT and PROD. We are now going to add a 3rd
The issue is that our UAT environment has been named "EU MDM Cloud - TEST" and we want to rename to "EU MDM Cloud - UAT". Just like you can rename an Atom. The current name "EU MDM Cloud - TEST" suggests it's some kind of test instance which it isn't. So basicly, I want to avoid that MDM users get confused and use the wrong repository. Clear naming conventions and communication are key in any IT project
Delete: same reason. We currently have a US MDM repository active which we don't use anymore. We are not allowed to use US atoms or MDM repositories anymore, only EU.
Btw: rename has priority (must have), delete is a nice to have.
Great! That also answers a question I didn't ask yet: why do I see MDM repositories as Atoms in atom management?
