Can any json profile data type accomodate all kinds of data (string, int, object, array) in some attribute. I can't tell which specific data type is coming off my db call.
As far as I know, there's no way to support multiple datatypes for the same json element. Wouldn't play nicely with the mapping functionality. What do the variations in your JSON documents look like?
I have some values that are strings, others are arrays and some others are actual objects..
Can you give examples of each? (showing the entire JSON structure)
Seth is correct: JSON profile elements need to be configured as either simple (character, date, int) or complex (object, array). The profile is defined "statically" ahead of time.
Yes, examples would certainly help.
Are you saying you have entire JSON objects/arrays captured in a single database column? If so I can imagine some solutions involving document caches but definitely adds a level of complexity. I'll hold off until we get some more info on the exact scenario.
