I have added some records in Cache and i wanted to clean the cache after taking that data from load from cache shape.
so is there any way to clean the cache after taking the data from load from cache ? for every run this is scheduled interface.
There is no way to clear the cache during an execution.
However, executions are stateless, so the next execution begins with an empty cache.
+1 what Lee said. There is an idea for this though: Clear up Cache Document in the middle of the process execution.
Sandeep, what's your use case/concern in which you want to clear the document cache?
I am loading 2 flat files into the cache, and i don't wan't when the next run happens these files should not be there.
because of that i wanted to clear the cache,
but as per #Lee he said when the next execution begins this will be empty, so that suites to my requirement.
but there are some scenarios that we really need to clear the cache in middle itself, so need better solution for that.
we guys need to ask the Dell Team for such requirements they have to provide such solutions so in future we will not face an problems.
who knows what's kind of requirment will come in future .
and thanks for asking my concern Adam.
Yes, the cache contents are temporary for a given execution as Lee stated.
To help us define use cases for clearing a doc cache WITHIN a given execution, would you be able to please describe those scenario(s) in Clear up Cache Document in the middle of the process execution? That would b e super helpful...thanks!
Heh... so... I'm a few years late to the party here...
I wanted to say, consider simply having a second cache, especially if the cache is being used in a sub-process. Also note that most connectors can automatically cache their results. I've never used the in-connector cache option. Adam Arrowsmith, what would happen if two connectors have the same cache selected? Would the cache store all the results from both connector calls? Would it truncate and load the latest result set? Would it throw an exception?
Hi Jonathan Hart,
Assuming both operations were using the same profile (which they would have to in order to use the same cache component), I believe it would simply append to the existing set of records in the cache, the same as if you just used an Add to Cache shape within the process.
