Source CSV can be also in Below Encoding. Boomi us Unable to Process Such Encoding in CSV. Is there any way ?
Boomi can certainly handle UTF-16. I assume the problem you are running into is the use of the BOM?
The file when imported in Boomi Looks like below image attacched. Unable to store data error.
Character Decode: UTF-8 Tried // Do Not Resolve the issue
UTF-8 csv works good. But UTF-16 its not processing
please can you try search \u0000 and replace with space using data process.
Will this affect if the source file is coming in UTF-8, as Most of csv files we process are UTF-8, Will the Search and Replace affects the existing setup.
Are you receiving any error while executing the process, or are you facing content issue? Running on local or cloud Atom?
Running on local as well as boomi cloud atoms. Boomi Gets Error- Unable to store data and input file looks like the attached screen.
using data processing to convert from UTF-16 to UTF-8. Boomi process UTF-8 by default.
For your info: local Atoms use US7ASCII as default
Actually, local atoms use the "system default" by default. In the U.S. this will be UTF-8 for most modern linux distributions and windows-1252 for most windows versions. System defaults will most likely vary in other countries.
The Boomi Atom Clouds are all configured to be UTF-8.
I always have to update the atom.vmoptions to UTF-8 for Linux and Windows. We normally use Amazon AWS in EU datacenters. Red Hat Linux or AWS Linux. 1252 in deed is the default for Windows servers, you're right. I think our Linux issue must be related to incorrect Linux local settings which cause the US7ASCii to be the default. Although Linux says UTF-8 is the default. Anyway, it's not important. I think it's a best practice to update your atom.vmoptions to UTF-8 anyway, to avoid any surprises when the OS default changes ;-)
I absolutely agree, explicitly setting to UTF-8 is the best practice.
