I am wondering if there is anyway to just deploy a map and not the whole process.
No, we cannot deploy only map without deploying the process.
Just curious to know, why do you want to do that? what is your use case?
Thanks for the reply. Well I come from an IBM Sterling Integrator background where yo can deploy to production parts of the process eg maps independently.
I have a rather large process with many components and I am concerned that if one part of the process is changed by mistake it is deployed when we change a map and deploy again.
I suppose its a governance issue with the team.
Understood, but there no option in Boomi to deploy only a Map.
If you want to make sure other components of your process not changed, you can use compare deployment option in Delploy tab. In deploy, select your process and environment and then select Compare Deployment.
And then compare with Latest version:
There, you will the list of changes in the components.
Hope this helps.
You can check your version changes of components as described by Harikrishna Bonala or you just develop a dummy process where you can test your map for any issues. However, the basic understanding of component deployment relies on whether the component has a starting point and can run independently without any input. For a map to work we need an input and this input could be provided only from an entry point and that is the reason this component cannot be deployed alone.
