I would like to process some sensitive data through Boomi process. Is there any additional security measure need to take care or boomi can handle this?
It depends on which logical system you are referring to. If you are worried about the protection of the cached data within Boomi, then it should be secure.
If you are logging the data in Process Logs using Notify Shape etc, then anyone who has authorization to view the process logs will be able to see those sensitive fields
If you are concerned about the endpoint system to which you are sending your data, then you can use certificates and encryption techniques to secure your data.
I would say that you wouldn't want to have data sat in cache or any other storage mechanism at least in cleartext.
You run the risk of it being possible to have a man in the middle attack if you assume it will be okay, and rely on the Boomi systems being secure, which you have little control over.
Also almost everything is logged, so if it can be identified from those logs then there is a potential risk there too.
I guess it really depends upon how sensitive the data actually is, and the amount of damage it could cause if compromised - that will lead you to the amount of effort you must go to, to protect that data.
The fact that you're asking this question tells me that the data isn't highly secretive - else I'm guessing you'd know the answer to that question already.
