Is there a way, I can decide @ run time using decision shapes which profile is going to use @ Connector operation ?
This is possible to somewhat emulate this behavior using the following hack.
1. Create a generic profile like this.
a. Type Read Stored Procedure
b. One Input parameter: Profile: Char
c. Add generic Char fields: F1, F2, ... Fn where n is the maximum number of columns that will ever be returned
2. Create a Dynamic Process Property: DPP_Profile
3. In your process set DPP_Profile to the desired Profile
4. Create a stored procedure
a. E.g. GenericSproc that takes one Input parameter Profile
b. Create logic in he Sproc to return data for each profile type
b. Based on the Profile passed as parameter execute code to return the desired data aliased as F1, F2, Fn
5. Call the DB connection with DPP_Profile as the parameter
6. After the Query use a route shape to pass the return data by Profile to the appropriate Map
I think there is no direct way to achieve that. In order to achieve this: After the decision shape, in each path use the same connection but with different operation that has the different profile. I mean to say, In the true path, drag the desired connector that has the same connection and the desired operation. In the false path, use that same desired connector but with the different operation that has the other profile.
But, As far as I know, there is no direct way we could achieve this. Lets wait for the Boomi team to include this feature as well in their further release.
Adam Arrowsmith, Please correct me If I am wrong. Thank you in advance.
Happy Exploring Boomi.
No there is no way to achieve the same.
Agreed, the profile selection is a build-time configuration and cannot be set dynamically at runtime. Can you please share some more details about your exact scenario? Perhaps there's another way to approach it.
