How to check values are existed in database table of repeated element?
Okay. How about doing the select like "select distinct..." or "...where rownum=1".
When I need to test if something exists I use "select count(*) from table where something = 'somethingElse' ". If the count equals 0 then it doesn't exist otherwise it does.
Hi Rupali.Need to ask you some questions:Do you have a source document where same value is repeated several times, and you need to check if that value exists in a database table?
Or is it in the database table the value exists several times?
I have source doc like:
supplierPartID is the repeated element and need to check is this available in database table through user defined function and append error message with other errors in my destination map element:
Sounds like you have found a way to do it through a user defined function. I guess you are using a SQL Lookup inside your function.
Doesn't it work?
yes i am using SQL lookup inside function, but when i execute process, its generating 2 different documents for different supplierpartID.
thank you Leif. select count(*) solved my problem..thanks once again
Happy to help, Rupali.
