I want to convert a database select with more than one row as a result into a XML with a repeating structure like
What do I do? Just map the db profile to <db_row>?
Just map the profile to the XML.
Remember to define the <db_row> as unbounded.
After Mapping DB profile to the XML map shape do a document combine using data process.
Will this help?
I will try your solution as well, but for now I have not enough time (beeing in a final test phase) and having a solution.
If there is a grouping on the DB connector then this may not work?
Correct me if I'm wrong
Hi Srinivas Chandrakanth Vangari
You are right, in that case it will not work.
But if you have a select like:
"select itemnumber, itemtext from item where rownum<10" which gives 9 rows output, then you can just map the result.
Just for the record, to add to my latest reply Srinivas Chandrakanth Vangari :
You could group the sample select so obviously the correct answer is:
With that select AND if you do not use grouping then you can just map the result to the XML.
this solution works fine for me. Indeed I just want to select a number of rows and post them to a SAP BAPI which uses this kind of XML structure. I mapped like you suggested and things worked fine.
