Does the the Database Connector always return numbers in US locale (SQL Server)?

When using a Database Connector (jdts/jdbc drivers) to read data from SQL Server, I was expecting the data to be returned in the local format. Some notes on the configuration: The atom is installed on the same machine as the SQL Server DB. The Atom is running as an User whose locale has been changed to Norweigan. However, the Database Connector returns numbers in the US format (1000.00) instead of the Norweigan format (1000,0) using decimals always instead of commas. After testing with several different locale settings, I was not able to change the format from US.

We have international customers who will be using different locales and it would be helpful to know if we can always expect the Database Connector to return data in US format or if we need to convert the data from our client's locale to whatever format we need. So, what is the expected behavior of the Database Connector; what format will it return the data in?
