I want to postpend a date to my ftp file name. How to do that?
For this, you would leverage the Set Properties Shape to set the filename before the FTP shape. Here is another community example with a similar scenario - How do I set the outbound FTP filename to use the inbound filename, but with a different extension, like filename.in/filename.out?
This can be achieved using Set Properties.
You need to add parameter --> Date/Time--> select date format and current date.
I am assuming your source is Disk directory, refer below screenshot:
This has to be placed before your FTP shape.
But first parameter value would return you entire file name along with file extension, which when combined with second parameter (Date) would generate a wrong/corrupt file in target system.
To avoid that you can store file name in a separate document property, which holds only the actual file name. To do so you may need to use a Map function with inbuilt string functions to do the transformation on file name.
Hi Kar ng,I'm aware of that.
