How to combine multiple inputs to a single output

Hi All,

I'm quite new to the world of Boomi and would like to request some help with the following.

I have a flatfile loaded into a flatfile profile for which I need to combine 3 elements and route them to a single EDI Tradacoms profile element. Each element contains a different VAT rate and the output requests all of the VAT rates to be combined into a single element. Apart from this there are 4 other groups of 3 elements that would need to be processed the same way.

The 3 inputs:

0HE|0LE|000
0HE|0LE|000
0HE|0LE|000

0HE|0LE|000

Requested output:

0HE
0HE
0HE
0HE

0LE

0LE
0LE
0LE
000
000
000

000

I would say this could be easily solved with a custom java function containing the three inputs and a single output. However, I'm not too familiar with Java/Groovy hence I'm quite stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
