This article describes best practices for integrating with Siebel via the generic Web Services SOAP Client connector.

Siebel Configuration

The Siebel Document Library is the starting point for the articles linked below. Users should choose the appropriate Siebel version and review the matching links to expose web services and integration objects with Siebel.

The below links are specific to the 7.5 version:

  1. Learn how to Create Business Services to meet your integration goals.
  2. Follow the steps to Publish an Inbound Web Service, expose a connection URL and export a WSDL.

AtomSphere Configuration

The Web Services SOAP Client Connector is the generic AtomSphere connector that should be utilized to connect to exposed Siebel business services. The connection component should include the exposed web services endpoint URL along with any required log-in information. The operation component requires you to run the Import Wizard to build the desired web service action with the WSDL.

Siebel only generates a WSDL file for published web services. Boomi does not currently support WSDL file imports. Consider uploading the Siebel WSDL file to a public Internet website, so AtomSphere can access the WSDL URL accordingly.

Web Service Management

The SOAP Client Connector can make requests from either a Local or Cloud Atom which uses different IP addresses. Ensure that your network is configured to accept incoming traffic for the exposed Siebel web services accordingly.
