Workday error messages: Customer id was not specified or Access Is Denied

Workday integration/query returns one of the following error messages:

[SOAP-ENV:Server.error] java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Customer id was not specified

or 

Access is Denied

     The Workday API requires parameters be supplied to API calls.  Parameters can be configured on the Connector Parameters tab.

     Sometimes the customer ID or employee id is required as a parameter value, for example in the objects in the links below.  If the customer or employee id value is not supplied correctly then it cause this error.

Be sure to include the full ID to ensure access is not denied (e.g. username@company) at the end of your username and
     the correct workday version in the parameters.
