com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (129) JCO_ERROR_SERVER_STARTUP: Server startup failed at XXXXXXXXXXX.
This is caused by either a) erroneous server settings, b) the backend system has been shutdown, c) network problems. Will try next startup in 3600 seconds.
Could not start server: Connect to SAP gateway failed
Connection parameters: PROGID="XXXXXX" GWHOST=xxxxxxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.com GWSERV=sapgwnn
The error indicates that the SAP host was found but could not connect to the SAP gateway.

 

Please check the following information:
1. In the SAP connection Settings tab, if the Gateway Host contains a host name it may require the IP address of the machine instead of the host name
2. In the SAP connection LIstener Settings tab, if the Gateway Host contains a host name it may require the IP address of the machine instead of the host name
3. In the SAP connection LIstener Settings tab, changed Gateway Service to the relevant port for the SAP Server, i.e. 3310 for SAP Service sapgw10
4. Redeploy the listener, if any changes were made
5. Conduct a connection test from SAP
6. If the connection test is successful, send an IDOC to the listener
7. If the IDOC was not picked up, it may be necessary to restart the atom
