The Mail connector retrieves 2 documents (1 as plain text and 2nd as HTML) for a single email message that had originated as html content type
The Mail connector is designed to parse out multi-part email messages and handle them as separate documents in the process.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to determine what type of the content is in the document.

Currently, the way to handle this is to analyze the document content.

You could search for content that starts-with: <html> and ends-with: </html> to determine HTML type messages, otherwise, treat as plain text in the integration.

Search for other unique elements of the message (e.g. message id) if they are easily found in the content.

Another workaround is to use plain text messages for the integration.

This behavior is universal, so we expect different email POP server providers would yield the same result for multi-part messages.

If you wish to see different behavior in the Mail Connector, there is the possibility that Boomi can enhance the Mail Connector to detect content type.
For example, we could add extra tracking property to the document: PROPERTY_CONTENTTYPE that can be checked for each document.
If you wish to see this enhancement in the future, our engineering team kindly requests that you submit a feature enhancement request through Help & Feedback - > Feedback, so we can review, prioritize and schedule this functionality.
