If you want to run the same process across different environments, but the username/schema is different for the different environments.
You can NOT use parameters to specify the user/schema from a database profile.
You could configure the login, for each specific DB, to use a particular user by default, removing the need to specify that user from within the SQL
You may also set up common "views" within each of the DBs ( prod, dev, test, qa, etc ), which could be called by this connection... so the process/profile could call these "views", which could be written specific for each DB/environment, to get the data required
