Purge properties such as Purge execution history after 14 days is set, as well as Compress history after X days is set to 14 days.
Once in a while the purging is slowing down and unable to purge or delete if there is a extremely large amount of executions, 2 or more million executions a day.
Even manual efforts to delete some of the directories and files does not help the purging mechanism to catch up.
What else needs to be looked at and configured so that the purge mechanism will execute in optimum time ?
Configure or change the Compress History after X days to a higher setting then the purge settings.
For example if
Purge History After x Days is set to 14
make the setting for :
Compress History after X days to 15 or higher.
Note: If by mistake the Compress History after X days is set to 0, (disabled), it will disable all the purge properties, and they will need to be reset.
