When an extended Map contains a Cross Reference Table, AtomSphere API operations involving the Environment Map Extension object result in failures.

The processes configured to perform Get, Update or Execute operations on the API object Environment Map Extension fails at the connector shape with the below error. Once the Cross Reference Lookup Map function is removed from the Map extensions, the error does not resurface.

This map is not available through the API: Unable to handle map function type: CrossRefLookup

For every extended Data Map, the Map functions are validated to confirm that they are among those supported for API calls. At this time, the 'Cross Reference Lookup' function is not one of these functions and that is the reason for this error to be returned.

The best way to get past this issue is to avoid using the Cross Reference Lookup functions in the Maps that will be extended and are expected to be accessible via the API because of the current restrictions. A confirmation regarding this restriction and the impact will be available in the User Guide soon.
