When a web-service built in Boomi is exposed to client applications, the use of certain characters is incompatible with the current configuration resulting in the characters being ignored. This restriction is applicable to fourteen characters and can been seen when they are included either in the query parameters or the resource path.

The following characters are not currently supported: / , ^ { } | \ " < > . ? ` and %

The characters which are supported: a-z A-Z 0-9 . - _ ~ ! $ & ' ( ) * + , ; = : and @

There is not currently a solution for this issue if the characters are included in the REST URL resource path parameter as the characters would conflict with the underlying code. The alternative approach is to replace the unsupported character(s) with the supported character(s) and deploying the corresponding process and/or API component.
