Has anyone used custom lists in a lookup. It looks like Boomi has fields missing do to a proper query with the list name and list_item name to get the id
I have too many looks to read list and cache. I decided to use a jdbc connection for now. I always seem to have trouble when loading the list text value into the field. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes not, Especially if I have to do something first like concatenate items.
A couple of thoughts regarding working with NetSuite custom lists:
First, when extracting data from NetSuite, if you have customList-type fields on your object, the connector performs an automatic lookup behind the scenes to return the actual textual value (instead of just the NS internalId, which is what the NS API returns). Some more info on that: http://help.boomi.com/atomsphere/GUID-A9138C8A-5736-40BA-BFDC-D1AB6369C5E2.html
Second, when sending data to NS, if you need to populate a customList-type field, I generally use a map function connector call and invoke the getSelectValue endpoint. This is categorized as an EXECUTE-type action by the NS connector.
This post discusses the getSelectValue lookup and how to populate the request fields for the call: Error when performing getSelectValue as part of Create Sales Order operation to look up an item based on the item name in NetSuite
Are either of these your situation?
Out of curiosity, what approach did you take to address this situation?
