@Adam Arrowsmith even I had this question.Thank you.Just wondering, cant we configure this specifically for each HTTP call? I dont see any Timeout Params on HTTP Connector!
Check this out : How to Increase HTTP Timeout
Some good news, in the October 2016 release next week you'll be able to set the connection and read timeouts within the HTTP Client connection component per endpoint.
Adam Arrowsmith Great idea..
we are using HTTP Client connector in our process and as per requirment connector sholud wait for 10 min to get response. So if we specify 600000 ms for Connection Timeout and read Timout will it work?
Our process is running on local Atom having default Timeout values 2 min.
Dsun.net.client.defaultConnectTimeout=120000 & Dsun.net.client.defaultReadTimeout=120000
Hi Mounika Peddi,
Yes those are the vmoptions to modify. Don't forget to restart the atom.
So the http timeout applies to an Oracle Database Connection as well ? We need the ability to control an oracle database connection timeout when a call is made and i havent been able to find a specific answer
No, the HTTP timeout setting is only applicable to the HTTP client connector (this thread meandered a bit).
There is still no direct timeout setting for database connections through the UI. However in researching a little, I wonder if either 1) it is set and enforced by the DB server itself and/or 2) if you can set the timeout as part of the connection string maybe like this: java - Setting Network Timeout for JDBC connection - Stack Overflow
