I have looked through the HL7 ADT templates for event types A01 - A09 and cannot find any way to add an IN1 segment to a profile. Am I missing something?

In all of the ADT templates I have looked at, none have contained a procedure for the IN1-3 segments. Without that in the list, how can I add an IN1 segment to my profile, short of manually creating it?

The IN segments are located within the INSURANCE loop. You just need to expand the INSURANCE loop by clicking the plus sign ( + ) before the loop name. The loops are not expanded by default.

Therein lies the problem: I did not see the Insurance loop in any of the templeates I looked at.

What version are you using? I can see the INSURANCE loop in the ADT A01 template for versions 2.2 and higher.

I selected v2.4, ADT, A04. When I click on import, the image below shows the list that I see. No Insurance loop visible.

If there are more segments available, the slider for the window is not visible so I can't access them. I noticed that on one template that had a Procedure loop: I had to click some place in order for the slider to appear.
On the A04 import window, I couldn't see the Detail and Summary nodes until I had closed the Header node. There was not a slider visible.

I found the problem. I was using IE 9. When I went to Chrome, the slider appeared just fine.
So the answer to my question is: Use Chrome. :)

We have logged a bug for the slider problem in IE9. It works ok in IE8, so it looks like it may be just that version of IE. In addition to Chrome, it will work fine in Firefox. Thanks!
