Is there a Salesforce API field update limit?

Greetings,

I have a unique little problem I have encountered trying to add fields to our P21 to SFDC account update process. We recently added several branch revenue fields and attempted to add them to our account migration process. The process ran, and all the fields migrated with the exception of the new fields. There were no errors generated, the values simply remained null. After crawling through the process and finding no errors, and checking the SFDC permissions and field definitions, I built a second process migrating only the new branch revenue fields. It worked perfectly. Any thoughts on why this might happen? I know there is an overall querey limit on the API, but is there a limit on the number of fields in an operation? With the addition of these new fields we are trying to migrate a total of 48 fields in the process.
