I am getting error while importing XML from successfactors.I selected OData Import Depth to 3 and then I select SFOData.EmpJob as i want to import XML profile. But getting error(see screen shot).Any help would be appreciated
Hmm while not super familiar with the SuccessFactors connector specifically, at first glance it sounds like an error internal to the connector as it attempts to assemble the metadata to generate the profiles. I assume the depth field as to do with the number of levels of detail of the object/profile hierarchy? If you try a depth of 1 or 2, does it import successfully?
If you're still having problems I would suggest raising through your SuccessFactors support channels because they will have more insight into the internals of the connector they developed.
So, Do you mean that boomi is behaving as expected, Initially i thought that it has to do something with the atom management.
Yes, If level 1 or 2 is selected than I am getting the metadata. Is there any other way to import meta data apart from pulling through connector?
Based on the information you shared and the syntax of the error message, I suspect the problem is happening within the connector. Please raise to SuccessFactors support for further evaluation.
I don't know if it would work if you manually created the additional elements/levels within the profile because it's possible the connector operation needs to "know about it" to be able to extract the additional fields in the actual call.
I have exactly the same issue - have you raised with SuccessFactors support Samir? And if so, have you managed to get a resolution?
I did a screen share with one of the support guys today and he said he is going to get the engineers to look into it. There is a new SF connector release this weekend, so I have also asked him to check what updates are in that (i.e. whether it might fix this problem!)
Let me know if still open for you & I will let you have any updates I receive from SF if helpful.
I got exactly the same answer from successfactors team.I did not get any resolution.
I am getting a similar error while selecting the Depth Level higher than 2.
Unable to browse connector: Error: The number of fields returned exceeds the maximum 150000. Please lower the depth setting or include more entities in the OData Excluded Entities setting.
Even after including most of the entities in OData Excluded Entities its the same.
Have you managed to get any solution on this?
Can some one let us know if we have any solutions from boomi side to resolve this issue.
I am also getting the same issue when try to import with depths>2
The only response from the SuccessFactors support team in the end was that the metadata limit was a Boomi limit and not something they could do anything about. I asked whether there were any particularly large SF entities that they suggest excluding in order to get around the issue, and they were completely unhelpful. In the end I pulled the full metadata dictionary from the SF instance and kept adding to the list of excluded entities until I managed to get under the limit...but it was a VERY long list of excluded entities. Do also exclude the country-specific stuff if you don't need it, since obviously this is high volume.
Hey Josie Heade/ samir kumar/ Dinesh Dhaka/ Vasu Cheemakurthi
Can anyone share the time taken by the connector component it self during the process run?
I suppose connector is taking huge time to complete the request to build a request profile.
Try to filter out the entities rather then giving them blank.
Share your findings.
Can you guys open a support case with boomi ? Seems like we need to get R&D involved.
