SFTP Connection Error Due to Too Many Request?

I have a process in which I need to deliver 200+ attachments to a SFTP site.  My process was running fine until I hit >280 attachments.  I then get a "Failed to connect to host: XXX on port 22.  Session.connect".  I can only guess that this is because there are too many calls going to the SFTP site.  Is there a way to open up a connection and then put all the attachments in ONE call?  I believe this is how other FTP utilities work (ie. Cyberduck).

I have tried to use the combine documents step as well as flow control to batch the attachments; neither gave me good results.  I know there's a zip functionality, but the destination program can not handle zip files.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
