  • If you're trying to use Boomi for encrypting a file, we will get the above error which is due to Limited strength.
  • Running your Process on your own atom? If yes, you probably need to set up unlimited strength cryptography support.
  • If required, install the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files.
    • These JCE files are used to encrypt the desired files.
    • 1)  Download JCE from: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jce-7-download-432124.html
    • 2) Open the folder  where ATOM is installed:
      •   \Boomi Atmosphere\Atom -Your Atom name-XXXX\jre\lib\security
    • 3) Make a backup (or)Remove the following .jar files from this directory: local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar
    • 4)Replace the downloaded files with the .jar files included in the JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files.
    • 5)Stop and restart the Atom.
  • Start--> Type Services and search for the atom name and restart it.
  • To see if JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files are being used,
  • Go to Manage --> Atom Management -->Select the Atom, Molecule, or Atom Cloud.
  • In the Information panel, Click Startup Properties --> Startup Properties panel,
  • If the Unlimited Strength Cryptography field is set to True, then JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy files are

being used.
