Has anyone used the new S3 connector with an http proxy?

I have been using an HTTP client connector to upload files to AWS using S3. Since we firewall outbound connections and AWS has a wide and ever changing IP range we have implemented an app proxy for our S3 and other cloud service connections. The proxy is configured in our atom management screen and all HTTP client connections go through the application proxy.

I recently tried the new native S3 connector that was in the recent Boomi release. Based on our firewall logs it appears that the S3 connector does not use the atom HTTP proxy settings when making connections. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the new connector to connect to AWS over an HTTP proxy?
