I have a process that inserts data into multiple database tables via database connector calls. I want to truncate the tables before I do the insert, so I used a process command shape to execute the truncate SQL statement.
truncate table my_schema.my_table;
I noticed that when I add the semicolon to the SQL statement I get an invalid character error saying that the semi colon is not allowed there. Taking out the semi colon will let the process command shape execute and my table is truncated. This leads me to believe that the process command shape can only execute one SQL statement per shape. So does that mean I have to use multiple process command shapes truncate more than one table, one for each table?
