Hi guys, I'm looking for the most maintainable way to integrate Navision using Boomi.
I will like to know any success connecting to this platform.
Hi again, I did a deep research about NAV using MS Dynamics NAV 2015 and 2009.
About MS Dynamics NAV research. We are able to connect from Boomi to both OData and SOAP NAV Servers.
Based on the research, NAV has the following Limitations:
The best approach to connect to NAV is using OData but it is only available since 2013 edition, otherwise I will recommend to connect directly to the Database.
I hope this information is helpful to someone else.
It will be really helpful to have a branded connector for it.
I have not connected to Navision but adding this link for reference: Overview of Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Services
We are facing multiple issues with NAV. The instance of NAV that we are connecting with is multi-tenant which means the urls all have the company name in the path
Instead of baseUrl/Customer, we would have to use baseUrl/Company('CompanyName')/Customer to access customer data.
The OData connector doesn't seem to be able to handle this at all.We have tried HTTP connector, but cannot get authorized. We are using NTLM and the same credentials that we use for OData but get 401 errors on all calls. We even changed the user running the atom to match (as instructed by Boomi tech support) and that has not helped. We can get SOAP to work but the licensing is ridiculous . Because of the multi-tenet nature, we need a license per company per business object. Since we have 3 companies, we need 3 licenses per business object we add. Any thoughts on this would be helpful
