Moving files between Windows and Linux (or writing a file to a Windows File System from a Boomi Server on Linux) will sometimes require the removal or addition of the Carriage Return [\r] character.  Use this solution to replace the [\n] character with [\n][\r] characters.

Do the following to replace the values in your file:

1. Create a Data Process Shape

2. Add a Search/Replace Step

3. Remember to separate each special character with brackets

Now the return characters will appear correctly in your file.
