I have a general Question regarding Boomi Assure: Does it work with processes that have a Web Services Server Connector as Startshape? I couldn't find any information in the documentation.
You can't currently execute a web service listener process in test mode so there's no execution history to submit to Boomi Assure. However if you decoupled the core logic and created a "test harness" with presupplied request data as suggested in Testing Strategies you could leverage Boomi Assure.
Do note that Add 'Test Mode Data' functionality to 'Web Services Server' start shape has been accepted to the backlog (no timeline yet). I imagine this ability would open up the possibility to use Boomi Assure.
For a list of components where Boomi Assure could work refer the below link. Boomi Assure does not run the test on Connectors (Not just he web services) due to security reasons. Only the output of the data is used for testing.
I have seen that the Connector Shape is not provided. My question is more about if it's acutally making sense to use Assure for Web Services Processes? How would it work then? The Test data that is provided would be used as input instead of the connector?
Boomi Assure works irrespective of what type of connectors you use to build the process. My suggestion would be to pass the input data through a message shape and do your regression. I am not sure whether I have understood your queries.
